A rusty robot made in the image of a hedgehog, with splotches of blue paint and a round orange optic. One arm has been replaced with that of a Crabmeat, and a left leg with the horn of a Mecha-Bu. He has (or once did) the ability to shift his optic to his torso, as well as a now non-functioning rocket-engine in his back. A functioning wheel remains in his right heel. Mecha wears a white cloak around his person at all times.

Mecha Sonic (mk. II) was once Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik's most prized creation, made in the image of Sonic the Hedgehog and an improvement on the original Mecha Sonic. Was ultimately destroyed in battle with Knuckles the Echidna after absorbing the energies of the Master Emerald. His remains washed up on the shores of Scrapnik Island, where he was repaired by E-117 Sigma. Mecha became the peaceful protector of the Scrapniks that lived there, until Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles "Tails" Prower arrived, triggering his latent programming. He endeavored to switch bodies with Sonic so he could escape Scrapnik Island, but was thwarted. Sonic convinced him to live for himself rather than allow himself to be destroyed, and Tails removed the last vestiges of Eggman's programming, allowing Mecha to finally live in peace.

Many of Mecha's abilities have been disabled due to his disrepair. However, he still has his prodigious strength, and can speed along on his wheeled heel and buzzsaw leg just as easily as he did when he had two functioning wheel heels. His Crabmeat arm serves as a functioning strong pincer claw, as well.

Sonic - Mecha Sonic's relationship with Sonic is pleasant, which is good, considering the whole "tried to switch bodies with him" thing. In truth, Mecha greatly values his friendship with Sonic, both for his willingness to trust him, and for the fact that Sonic is the reason why he has chosen to "live for tomorrow".
